As a Junior (2018-19)

• Ran in four outdoor meets.
• Finished 11th in the 800m at the Ivy League Outdoor Championship (5/4-5).
• Ran in four indoor meets.
• Secured seven top-two finishes, including a first place finish in the 1000m at the Southern Tier Collegiate Invite (1/5).
• Earned a 1000m PR of 2:55.73 at the Beantown Challenge (1/12).
• Did not compete in any cross country meets.

As a Sophomore (2017-18)

• Third in school history in indoor 4x800 (8:50.23) relay and 10th in the 600 (1:34.80).
• Second-Team All-Ivy (Indoor 4x800 relay)
• Scored at Indoor Heps as a member of the runner-up 4x800 relay team (8:50.23).
• Also placed 10th in the 800 (2:13.06).
• Fourth in the DMR (11:43.86) and 31st in the 800 (2:16.52) at the ECAC Indoor Championships.
• Recorded three wins and nine top-three finishes.
• Notched a personal record in the indoor 800 at the Valentine Invitational (2:11.28).
• Did not compete in any cross country meets.

As a Freshman (2016-17)

• Ran in two races in inaugural cross country season, finishing 141st at the Yellowjacket Invitational and 16th at the John Reif Memorial Run.
• Had a solid first season on the track for Cornell, grabbing 10 top 10 finishes indoors and three outdoors while compete in both the indoor and outdoor Ivy League Track and Field Championships.
• Indoors, was a member of the first place 4x800 and Distance Medley Relay squads at the Greg Page Relays and had a third place finish in the 800 at the Marc Deneualt Memorial.
• Finished 13th in the 800 at indoor Heps with a collegiate-best 2:12.52.
• Outdoors, finished sixth in the 800 at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival and 20th at outdoor Heps.

Before Cornell

• O’Malley, a team captain of both cross country and track, won the indoor 800 meter at the 2016 Fox Valley Girls Conference Championship and qualified for the state championship.
• In 2015, was all-conference in the 800 meter, and in 2014, qualified for states with the 4x100 meter, 4x200 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams.
• Helped team to the IHSA 2A Antioch Regional title.
• Was also a member of the National Honor Society and was recognized as a distinguished AP Scholar.

Personal

• Sara Marie O’Malley is the daughter of Jim and Tiffany O’Malley.
• Has one brother, Colin.
• Her father played football at Northeastern Illinois University and her uncle, Paul O’Malley, played baseball at Illinois State University before being drafted by the Houston Astros in 1994.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
