Woods' up-to-date results
As a Junior (2017-18)
• Set personal best in the 500 at the Deneault Memorial Invitational, taking fourth in 1:20.16.
• Had two other fourth-place finishes in the 500 at the Upstate Challenge (1:20.95) and Kane Invitational (1:21.00).
• Also placed fourth in the 600 at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open (1:42.39).
• Part of the runner-up 4x400 relay at the Deneault Memorial Invitational (3:59.72).
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Competed in two indoor and three outdoor meets as a sophomore.
• Finished eighth in the 800 at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet and ninth in the 500 at the Upstate Challenge.
• Was on the second place 4x800 relay team at the Greg Page Relays.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Competed in seven indoor meets, running primarily middle-distance events.
• Ran the 800 on four occasions and finished in the top seven each time, including a sixth place finish at the Marc Deneault Invitational with a season-best 2:24.77.
Before Cornell
• A four-year letter winner in both cross country and track, Woods was named Indoor Track Section I All-League in 2012 and 2013, Cross Country All-League in 2014, and Outdoor Track All-League in 2014 and 2015.
• Was also a co-captain for the White Plains High School cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field teams and was the recipient of the Westchester All-County Winter Track and Field Award in 2013.
• In addition to running, was vice president of the Advocates for the Earth Club and was a New York State School Music Association gold medalist.
Personal
• Lauren Elizabeth Woods is the daughter of Timothy and Judith Woods.
• Her mother, Judith, graduated from Cornell in 1983.
• Lauren has an older brother, Alexander, and is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
