As a junior (2019-20)
• A standout rider for the Big Red in the novice division, competing in seven shows as a junior.
• Qualified for the Zone 2 Championships in novice equitation after being named the Reserve Champion at the IHSA Regional Championships.
• Tallied five top-two finishes in the novice division over the course of the season, notching victories at Cornell’s first home show of the season and Alfred Show #1.
• One of six Cornell riders to compete at the prestigious Tournament of Champions, finishing fourth in novice equitation.
• Season cut short due to COVID-19.
Prior to Cornell
• Rode at Willow Hill Farm for nine years and competed at many home shows in the 2’ hunter, equitation, and jumper divisions.
• Member of the Willow Fox IEA Team her junior and senior years of high school, serving as team captain during her senior campaign.
• Competed at the Region 2 Zone 2 IEA Regional Finals both individually and with her team.
• Also a black belt in the Tang Soo Do karate style.
Personal
• Lara Isobel Carr is the daughter of Lucy and Paco Carr and has one younger brother, Mack.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in computer science.
