As a junior (2019-20)
• Qualified for the Zone 2 Championships in limit flat after being named the Reserve Champion at the IHSA Regional Championships.
• IHSA Regional qualifier in limit flat and limit fences.
• A key member of the Big Red equestrian team in both divisions as a junior, competing at eight shows and notching three individual victories.
• Earned the title of High Point Rider at Cornell’s first home show of the season after winning her limit flat and limit fences classes, helping the Big Red secure Reserve High Point Team.
• Also won her limit flat class at Alfred Show #2.
• One of six Cornell riders to compete at the prestigious Tournament of Champions, finishing sixth in limit fences.
• Pointed out of limit fences and into intermediate fences after Cornell’s weekend double-header at Nazareth.
• Season cut short due to COVID-19.

• Has 10+ years of riding experience.
• Has competed on the Welsh Pony Circuit, winning many regional, zone, and national titles.
• Also danced competitively for three years in high school.

• Lucia Mariana Younger is the daughter of Stephen Younger and Azucena Ortega.
• She has an older bother, Alejandro.
• She is an animal science major enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
