As a Junior (2017-18)
• First-Team All-Ivy (Indoor 4x400 relay)
• Indoor Heps champion in the 4x400 (3:15.89).
• Also competed in the 60 hurdles, taking 15th (8.88).
• At Outdoor Heps, placed eighth in the 400 hurdles (53.70).
• Collected seven top-five finishes throughout the season.
• Set personal record in the 60 hurdles at the Deneault Memorial Invitational (8.35).
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Excelled in the mid distance events and hurdles during his sophomore season, earning three top-five finishes in the 500 meters during the indoor season.
• Won the event at the Kane Invitational with a collegiate-best time of 1:05.84 while also taking second at the Bomber Invitational and fourth at the Upstate Challenge.
• During outdoors, notched two victories in the 400 hurdles before becoming a double scorer for Cornell at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
• Was fifth in the 400 hurdles and helped his 4x400 relay team place fourth.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Competed in seven indoor meets for the Big Red.
• Finished eighth in the 60 meter hurdles at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open and also helped the 4x400 meter relay team to a sixth place finish at the Greg Page Relays.
• Outdoors, college best 54.63 in the 400 meter hurdles at the UC Riverside Spring Break Invitational gave him a sixth place finish, and he also finished eighth at the Bruins Legends of Track and Field Invitational.
Before Cornell
• Comer, a four-year letter winner in indoor and outdoor track, was a New York State finalist in the 110 meter hurdles and 400 hurdles.
• He also finished third in the 400 hurdles at the 2014 New Balance Outdoor Emerging Elite Nationals.
• Comer also played varsity soccer for two years and was a member of the National Honors Society.
Personal
• Maxwell Alexander Comer is the son of Douglas and Christina Comer.
• He has a younger sister, Samantha, and is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
