• IRA National Champion with the lightweight eight (2017, 2019)

As a senior (2019-20)
• Did not compete (Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19).
As a junior (2018-19)
• Rowed in the varsity eight boat during his junior year.
• Guided the Big Red to its eighth IRA National Championship, and the team’s fourth national championship in the last six seasons.
• With the win, became a two-time National Champion.
• Member of the varsity eight boat that was named the 2019 IRA Lightweight Crew of the Year.
• Rowed in the varsity eight boat at the EARC Sprints.
• Led Cornell to its 25th Matthews Trophy.
• Helped the Big Red win the Geiger Cup, Platt Cup, and Harriet Trophy.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Rowed in the varsity eight during the Cup season and at Eastern Sprints during his sophomore season.
• Led the crew to victories over Penn, MIT, and Dartmouth.
• Helped the Cornell varsity eight take sixth overall at Eastern Sprints.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Consistently rowed with the varsity eight that won the 2017 IRA National Championships and captured an undefeated season in 2017.
• Member of the varsity eight that was named the EARC Lightweight Crew of the Year following the season.
• Rowed the Big Red to its 11th Ivy League Championship at the 2017 EARC Sprints.
• Also named first-team All-Ivy by virtue of winning the Ivy League.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed for four years with Detroit Boat Club, winning six Club National Championships.
• At the 2015 championship, he took gold in the men’s U19 double, the men’s intermediate lightweight coxed four, the men's intermediate lightweight eight, and the senior lightweight eight.
• At the 2014 championship, he won gold at the men’s U19 coxed four and the men’s U19 lightweight eight.
• He also won a pair of bronze medals at the 2013 championship (men’s U17 eight, men’s U17 quad).
• Won three Midwest Championship titles, taking gold in the men’s single (2016), the men’s lightweight coxed four (2014) and men’s lightweight eight (2014).
• Also won a pair of silver medals at the 2013 Midwest Championship (men’s coxed four and men’s lightweight eight), as well as a bronze at the 2015 championship (men’s coxed four).
• Picked up a pair of bronze medals at consecutive Youth National Championships (2013, 2014) in the men’s lightweight eight.
• Won a gold at the 2013 Royal Canadian Henley in the U17 coxed four, as well as winning the 2015 C.R.A.S.H.B. World Indoor Championship with the second junior lightweight men.
• Koszyk is the U19 men's lightweight 5k indoor World Record holder and was invited to attend the 2015 US Junior National Team Sweep Selection Camp.
Personal
• Sorin Mckinley Koszyk is the son of John Brown and Lisa Koszyk-Brown and he has one older sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
