Biography

• IRA All-Academic Team (2019)

As a junior (2019-20)

• Rowed on the third varsity eight in Flight 1 at the Princeton Chase, helping the boat clock a time of 14:21.201.
• Rowed on the winning 4+ boat in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, posting a time of 12:54.35.
• Helped the Big Red frosh novice boat notch a second place finish in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic with a time of 12:11.25.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.

As a sophomore (2018-19)

• Served as the bowman for the second varsity eight for all but one race during his sophomore campaign.
• Helped the second varsity eight to a gold medal at the EARC sprints with a time of 6:42.95.
• Won a bronze medal with the varsity 4+ in the Grand Final at the IRA National Championships.
• Guided the second varsity eight to victories over Dartmouth, Princeton, and Columbia.

As a freshman (2017-18)

• Rowed in the bow seat of the third varsity eight during his freshman year.
• Helped the crew to wins against Penn, Princeton, Columbia, and Dartmouth.
• Led the third varsity eight that took sixth place at Eastern Sprints.

Prior to Cornell

• Spent five years with the Miami Beach Rowing Club.
• Served as team captain and was named team MVP for the 2016-17 season.
• Won gold medals in the men’s youth double at the 2017 Youth Nationals Championship Regatta and the 2017 Youth SouthEast Regionals.
• Earned silver medals in the men’s youth quad at the 2017 Florida State Sculling Championship and in the men’s youth four at the 2017 Florida State Sweeping Championship.
• Took home gold medals in the men’s youth double at the 2015 and 2016 Head of the Hooch.
• Placed fourth in the Grand Finals of the men’s youth lightweight double at the 2016 Youth Nationals Championship Regatta.
• Won gold medals in the men’s youth lightweight double at the 2015 and 2016 Youth SouthEast Regionals, as well as the 2015 and 2016 Florida State Sculling Championships.
• Captured the silver medal in the men’s youth lightweight eight at the 2016 Florida State Sweeping Championship.
• Finished fifth in the Grand Finals of the men’s youth lightweight double at the 2015 Youth Nationals Championship Regatta.

Personal

• Jules William Kramer is the son of David and Deborah Kramer and he has one sister.
• Father, David, graduated from Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
