Biography

• 2019 IRA All-Academic team

As a senior (2018-19)

• Coxed the first varsity eight during her senior year.
• Guided the Big Red to its eighth IRA National Championship, and the team’s fourth national championship in the last five years. 
• Member of the first Varsity eight boat that was named the 2019 IRA Lightweight Crew of the Year.
• Rowed in the first varsity eight boat at the EARC Sprints.
• Led Cornell to its 25th Matthews Trophy.
• Helped the Big Red win the Geiger Cup, Platt Cup, and Harriet Trophy.

As a junior (2017-18)

• Coxed the second varsity eight for the majority of her junior season before moving in the varsity eight for IRAs.
• Won a silver medal in the second varsity eight at Eastern Sprints.
• Led the second varsity eight to wins over Princeton, MIT, and Dartmouth.
• Coxed the varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Finals at IRAs.
 
As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Coxed the fourth varsity eight and the varsity four throughout her sophomore season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight take bronze in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.
• Was the coxswain for the varsity four that defeated Columbia and MIT.

As a freshman (2015-16) 
• Coxed the sixth varsity eight against Penn, Harvard, Columbia and MIT.

Prior to Cornell  
• Rochford was a four-year member of the Pittsford Crew club.
 
Personal
• Molly Katherine Rochford is the daughter of Richard and Cynthia Rochford ’82.
• She has two sisters, Madeline, who graduated from Cornell in 2015, and a twin sister, Caroline, who sails for Boston College.  
• Enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
