Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Rowed on the third varsity eight in Flight 1 at the Princeton Chase, helping the boat record a time of 14:21.201.
• Competed on the Cornell B 4+ boat in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, clocking a time of 13:06.52.
• Rowed on the Cornell C 8+ boat in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, recording a time of 12:14.86.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Rowed on the third varsity eight during his junior campaign.
• Advanced to the Grand Final with the third varsity eight at the EARC Sprints, finishing sixth overall.
• Helped the third varsity eight triumph over Princeton with a time of 5:57.20.
• Helped the third varsity eight down Penn, giving Cornell the edge to with the Leonard Points Cup.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight during his sophomore season.
• Helped the crew to a seventh place finish at Eastern Sprints.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed at Montclair High School for four years.
• Won gold as a member of the varsity eight at the Overpeck Regional Youth Regatta in 2016.
• Also placed ninth at the SRAA National Championships as a varsity eight rower in 2016.
• Earned first place as a member of the junior varsity eight at the Philadelphia City Championships in 2015.
• Was also a two-time champion at Head of the Passaic rowing for the varsity eight in 2015.
• Took third in the second varsity 4+ at Head of the Riverfront in 2014.
Personal
• Alex Zincani is the son of John Zincani and Kersten Behrens.
• His younger brother, Julian Zincani, is also a member of the men’s lightweight rowing team at Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
