Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Competed at three shows in the novice division during her sophomore campaign for the Big Red.
• Won her novice class at the second show of Cornell’s double-header at Nazareth, securing her first collegiate victory.
• Notched a top-three finish in novice equitation at Alfred Show #1, placing third.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Showed in the advanced walk trot canter division as a freshman.
• Placed fourth overall in advanced walk trot canter at the Ivy League Championships.
• Also recorded fourth-place finishes in the advanced walk trot canter division in shows at Nazareth and Alfred.
Prior to Cornell
• New England 4H Champion.
• Two-time Vermont 4H High Point Rider.
• Seven-time Vermont 4H Champion.
• Five-time Vermont 4H Reserve Rider.
• AQHA All-Around Award recipient.
• Member of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association.
Personal
• Catherine Blume Thrasher is the daughter of John Thrasher and Susan Ceglowski and has one younger brother.
• Her mother, Susan Ceglowski ’88, is a Cornell alumna and was a member of the Big Red field hockey team in 1984.
• In total, seven of Thrasher’s relatives attended Cornell.
• Her uncle, Frank Fronhofer, wrestled for Ivy League foe Harvard from 1989-93.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
