As a Freshman (2018-19)
• Recorded seven top-five placements, including a first-place weight throw at the Greg Page Relays (12/1).
• Continuously improved throughout the season.
• Earned a personal record in the weight throw at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/2).
• Notched a personal record in the hammer throw at the Titan Team Challenge (3/30).

Before Cornell
• Was a four-time letterwinner at Mary M. Knight High School in hammer, discus, shot put, javelin and the 4x100 relay.
• Set the 1B state record and earning two state titles and two runner-up finishes amongst his 8 state medals throughout his high school career.
• In 2017, he was the Junior Olympic runner-up.
• In 2018, Frost was ranked fourth in the nation.
• Ian’s personal bests are 216’4 for hammer throw and 178’4 for discus.
• Also, was a three-time letterwinner in football, which he captained his sophomore and junior seasons.
• Named his team’s offensive most valuable player his freshman and junior seasons and the defensive most valuable player his sophomore and junior seasons.
• Despite his busy athletic schedule, he managed to earn his Associate of Science concurrently with his high school diploma.
Personal
• Ian Richard Frost is the son of Jim and Terri Frost, and his sister, Hannah, is a hammer thrower for North Dakota State.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
