Second Team All-Ivy (2018)

 

As a Senior (2020-21)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a Junior (2019-20)

• Finished junior season with a 50-26 record competing in foil.
• Went 9-2 at the Brandeis Invitational and 14-7 at the Northwestern Duals. Finished a spotless 15-0 at the Philadelphia Invitational.
• Placed 14th at the Ivy League Round Robin and 14th at the NCAA Regional.
 

As a Sophomore (2018-19)

• Served as assistant captain as a sophomore.
• Led the Big Red with 40 wins on the year.
• Posted the second highest winning percentage on the team (.667).
• Finished in 11th place in foil at the Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin with a 9-8 record overall.
• Placed 13th at the 2019 NCAA Northeast Regional tournament.
 

As a Freshman (2017-18)

• Earned second-team All-Ivy honors at the 2018 Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin. 
• Led the team with 51 victories on the season (51-23).
• Posted the highest winning percentage among all fencers (.689).
• Finished 18th overall at the 2018 NCAA Fencing Championship.
•Earned eight wins at NCAAs, picking up five victories against Ivy League fencers, while defeating four fencers that finished above her in the rankings, including Ohio State's Camilla Rivano, who finished sixth overall. 
• Posted a winning record at the Ohio State Elite Invitational (18-6), the Brandeis Invitational (14-1), and the Ivy League Championship (12-6).
•Was one of two Cornell fencers to finish in the top 10 at the 2018 NCAA Northeast Regional, placing seventh overall in the foil competition.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Earned four varsity letters at Columbia High School.
• Served as team captain during her senior seasons.
•Four-time All-State selection, including a first-team accolade in 2015-16.
• Won a pair of individual state championships (2013-14, 2014-15).
• Was a three time district champion (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16).
• Helped Columbia, as well as her squad, to a pair of state championships (2013-14, 2014-15).
•Had a top 16 finish in the Division I Foil Competition at the 2015 Baltimore NAC.
• Placed in the top 32 of the Cadet Foil Competition in Budapest (2016) and in the Division I Foil Competition at the 2016 St. Louis NAC.
•Finished third in the Cadet Competition and seventh in the Junior Competition at the 2016 Junior Olympics.
•Won gold with the Senior Team at the 2015 October NAC.
•Took silver in the Division I competition at the Jeff Wolfe ROC 2016 at Mission Tournament.
 

Personal

• Marissa Sophia Viqueira is the daughter of William Viqueira and Zaida Pacheco and she has three sisters.
• Viqueira is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
