As a Junior (2020-21)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a Sophomore (2019-20)

• Member of the U23 Greco-Roman World Team at 82kg.
• Named second team All-Ivy League.
• Finished his sophomore season 8-4 after returning to the lineup following an Olympic Redshirt.
• Won four matches by fall, one by major decision and three by decision, going 5-3 in duals overall and 3-1 against Ivy League opponents.

As a Freshman (2018-19)

• Posted a 16-11 record in his first season as starter at 165 pounds.
• Opened the year at 174 before dropping down a weight.
• Made his first EIWA Championship appearance, placing eighth overall.
• Won eight matches by fall and three more by major decision.
• Began his career with eight consecutive wins at a New York State Intercollegiate title.
• Won the Lock Haven Open round-robin at 174 pounds, going 3-1 overall.
• Six of his 11 losses came to ranked opponents.
• Went 6-7 after dropping to 165.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Berreyesa was a two-time Nevada state champion and a four-time finalist at Reno HS.
• Went 43-1 during his senior season and 197-12 overall during his career.
• A 2018 UWW Junior World Team Member, he was the UWW U23 Runner-up in 2018.
• Claimed a Fargo National Championship in Greco in 2017 and claimed Fargo All-America honors seven times.
• Recognized as the WIN Magazine Nevada High School Wrestler of the Year by the NHSCA as a senior.
• Claimed the 2016 Reno Tournament Of Champions title.
• Was a two-time NHSCA national runner-up.
• Earned Flo National All-America honors in 2016 and ASICS All-America accolades in 2017.
• Lettered two seasons in football as a fullback/linebacker.
 

Personal

• Andrew Douglas Berreyesa is the son of Richard and Kathi Berreyesa and has an older brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
