As a senior (2019-20)

• Went 0-1 with a loss at the Bearcat Open.

Prior to Cornell

• Overhiser placed in the top four at the state championships three times, breaking through and winning a state title in 2015 at 120 pounds for Lansing HS.
• He also wrestled for one season at Wyoming Seminary Prep and two years at Corning West HS, where he was a two-time sectional champion.
• Placed fourth in the state 106 pounds in 2012 and went 36-5 as a sophomore.
• Was a National Prep All-American en route to placing second in the state as a junior at Wyoming Seminary in 2014.

• James Charles Overhiser is the son of James III and Virginia Overhiser and has a brother and two sisters.
• He is enrolled in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning.
