Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Earned first-team All-America and All-MAISA skipper honors.
• Became the first Cornellian to earn MAISA Sailor Athlete of the Year.
• Her spring senior season was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic. 
• Competed in nine total regattas in earning her fourth varsity letter.
• Took third at the home Boehringer Regatta.
• Skippered A division to six race wins in 12 starts in helping the Big Red to its second straight MAISA Women's fall conference championship.
• Helped Cornell take a program-best third at the Rose Bowl Regatta.
• Competed in a pair of team races in the spring before the season ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
• Named team MVP skipper.

As a junior (2018-19)

• Named to the ICSA honorable mention All-America skipper.
• Honored on the MAISA all-conference first team.
• Was the team's top finisher at the Faye Bennett Women's Singlehandeds, placing seventh overall.
• Skippered the Big Red to a win at the Jen Harris Women's and the MAISA Team Race Challenge regattas.
• Sailed the Big Red to the Sperry Women's Finals with her efforts in A division, posting six top five efforts, including a win in the event's final race. 
• Competed in fall conference championships at the MAISA Women's and War Memorial and in the spring at the Prosser Trophy, MAISA Women's national qualifier and the America Trophy.
 

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Named second-team All-MAISA as a skipper.
• Was skipper in A Division for the Big Red at the Sperry Women's Western Semifinals and National Finals as Cornell placed seventh nationally.
• Helped the team to an eighth-place finish at the MAISA Women's to qualify the Big Red for nationals.
• Skippered the B Division boat to seven wins in eight races in helping the Big Red claim the Susan Rogers '75 Memorial title.
• Led eight boats into competition during the varsity season.
• Placed 13th at the Faye Bennett Women's Singlehanded Championship in the fall.
 

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Served as skipper in nine varsity regattas.
• Skippered B division entry at the Sperry Women's National Semifinal, posting seven top 10 finishes in nine races.
• Suited up at the MAISA Women's Fall, MAISA Women's Spring and America Trophy conference championships.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Was a two-year captain of the sailing team while attending Brookline HS.
• Won the B division of states.
• Member of the Olympic Development Program in 2016.
• Earned a fifth-place finish at the women's junior singlehanded national championship.
• Also played three seasons of soccer and hockey.
 

Personal

• Gabrielle Audrey Rizika is the daughter of Bob and Danielle Rizika and has three brothers.
• Her maternal grandmother attended Cornell.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
