• Capped off a fantastic freshman season with three USAG All-America accolades and top 10 all-time scores at Cornell in all four events and the all-around.
• Among the school’s career-best marks in the all-around (second, 39.100), beam (fourth, 9.850), vault (sixth, 9.850), bars (ninth, 9.825) and floor (ninth, 9.850).
• Earned first-team USAG Collegiate All-America honors in the all-around (second) and vault (eighth), while capturing second-team accolades on bars.
• Took second on vault for the Big Red on vault at the ECAC Championships.
• Earned a fourth-place finish on both beam and vault at the Ivy Classic meet.
• In her first collegiate meet at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational at George Washington, placed fourth on vault and fifth in the all-round for top 10 marks in school history.
• Posted a pair of all-around scores of 39.000 or better at the USAG Collegiate Nationals.
• Had a score of 9.825 or better in all four events.

Prior to Cornell
• Named conference Senior of the Year in her final season at Newton North HS.
• Named a conference all-star in 2013-14.
• Competed for MGC Waltham club, placing 12th on beam at Junior Olympic nationals in 2016 and 16th on bars in 2017.
• Qualified for Junior Olympic nationals in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
• Was the 2017 state champion on beam.
• Won regional titles in 2016 on vault, floor and in the all-around.

Personal
• Amy Mao Shen is the daughter of Anping Shen and Shixin Mao and has an older brother.
• Her brother, Jason, competed in gymnastics at Stanford.
• Her mother served as her coach prior to enrolling at Cornell.Â
• She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
