Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Raced at all nine meets for Cornell as a sophomore, including the Ivy League Championships.
• Scored points for the Big Red in the 100-breaststroke (1:04.14) and 200-breaststroke (2:18.34) at Ivies, making the C Final of both events.
• Her 100-breastroke time of 1:04.14 at the conference meet not only marked a personal-best, but ranks eighth all-time in the Big Red record books.
• Made the A Final of the 200-breaststroke at the Zippy Invitational, placing fifth overall with the third-fastest time (2:16.42) in Cornell history.
• Also cracked Cornell’s top-10 list in the 100-IM in the Big Red’s preseason scrimmage at Buffalo, finishing fifth with the fourth-best time in Big Red history (1:00.47).
• Notched eight individual top-three finishes over the course of the season, including two victories.
• Played a key role in Cornell’s Ivy League win over Brown, winning the 200-breaststroke and finishing second in the 100-breaststroke.
• Helped the Big Red defeat St. Bonaventure, placing first in the 100-backstroke and second in the 200-breaststroke.
• Secured a pair of top-three finishes at Cornell’s Ivy League tri-meet against Dartmouth and Harvard, placing second in the 200-IM and third in the 200-breaststroke.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Placed first and set a season best in the 100 back, and fourth in the 50 free against St. Bonaventure.
• Finished fourth in the 100 fly with a personal best time of 28.11 against Bryant.
• Placed fourth in the 100 and 200 breast against Brown.
• Posted two personal best times.
Prior to Cornell
• Named to the Texas 6A all-state team as a junior and senior at Plano Senior HS.
• Owns the school record in the 200 IM.
• Was a two-year team co-captain.
• Two-time USA Swimming Winter Junior National qualifier in 2016 and 2017.
• Named a 2017 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
• Chosen as a 2018 NISCA Academic All-American.
• Earned Academic All-State honors in her final two seasons.
Personal
• Allison L. Chang is the daughter of Richard Chang and Lauren Lee and has a younger brother.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
