As a senior (2019-20)
• Served as team captain during senior campaign.
• Competed in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke, and 200-IM at the Ivy League Championships, scoring points and notching season-bests in both breaststroke events.
• Made the B Final of the 100-breaststroke at Ivies, finishing 12th overall in a season-best 1:03.16.
• Helped the Big Red’s 400-medley relay (No. 6, 3:44.48) and 200-medley relay (No. 10, 1:43.03) teams to a pair of Cornell all-time top-10 marks at the conference meet.
• Won the B Final of the 100-breaststroke at Akron’s Zippy Invitational, placing ninth overall in 1:04.27.
• Won the C Final of the 200-breaststroke at the Zippy Invite, finishing 17th overall with a time of 2:21.45.
• Tallied five individual top-three finishes at dual meets over the course of the season, including four in the 100-breaststroke.
• Won the 100-breaststroke and placed third in the 200-breaststroke against Brown, helping Cornell defeat the Bears.
• Runner-up in the 100-breaststroke against Columbia.
• Finished fourth in the 100-breaststroke at Cornell’s Ivy League tri-meet against Dartmouth and Harvard.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Scored in both the 100 (17th) and 200 breast (19th) at the Ivy League Championship.
• Swam on the 200 (No. 5, 1:42.34) and 400 (No. 2, 3:43.94) medley relays that rank in the top five in school history.
• Won the 100 breast versus Penn/Princeton, the 100 breast at the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational, and the 200 IM vs. Bryant.
• Runner-up in the 100 breast against Brown and Yale, and in the 200 IM at the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational.
• Placed third in the 200 IM versus Columbia and in the 200 breast at the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational.
• Finished fourth in the 100 breast against Dartmouth/Harvard.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Posted the third-fastest time in school history in the 100 breast (1:02.56) en route to placing 11th overall at the Ivy League Championship.
• Swam the second leg on the school-record 400 medley relay (3:43.47) and the second lef of the 200 medley relay that posted the school's second-best time ever (1:41.676).
• Posted the No. 8 all-time mark in the 200 IM, scoring in the C final (2:04.80).
• Was the team's top finisher in the 200 breast (2:19.86), good for 14th.
• Also scored in the 200 IM, placing 24th with a lifetime-best mark of 2:04.80.
• Swept the 100 and 200 breast events against Brown.
• Captured the 100 UM and 200 breast titles at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational, as well as placing second in the 100 breast and third in the 200 IM.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Scored in a pair of events at the 2017 Ivy League Championship meet.
• Took 15th overall in the 200 breast with a 2:18.95, the sixth-fastest time in school history in the event.
• Was fourth in the B final in the 100 breast, holding down the No. 5 spot all-time at Cornell with a 1:03.53.
• Had three top three dual meet finishes during the season.
• Was the runner-up in the 200 back in the dual meet win over St. Bonaventure.
Prior to Cornell
• Murch Elliot was a three-time member of the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.
• She swam for SwimMAC Carolina and helped the team to a pair of winter junior national championships and a summer junior national championship.
Personal
• Cape Campbell Murch Elliot is the daughter of David and Lori Murch Elliot and has twin sisters, Billy and Currie.
• Her sisters are also members of the Big Red women's swim team.
• Her father ran cross country at the University of Vermont.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
