Cornell University Athletics

• Raced at all nine meets for the Big Red during freshman campaign, including the Ivy League Championships.
• Competed in the 100-backstroke, 200-backstroke, and 200-freestyle at the Ivies, scoring points in all three events.
• Her 100-backstroke (56.48) and 200-freestyle (1:51.10) times at the conference meet cracked Cornell’s all-time top-10 list, both ranking ninth in Big Red history.
• Swam a leg on the school record-breaking 800-freestyle relay at the Ivy League Championships, helping the team break the record for the fourth-straight year.
• Also swam the lead-off leg of the 400-medley relay at Ivies, guiding the team to the sixth-fastest time (3:44.48) in school history.
• Posted a total of five Cornell all-time top-10 times over the course of the season, including in the 200-backstroke (No. 10, 2:02.35) against Brown.
• Recorded three top-five finishes in the 200-backstroke over the course of the season, including third-place showings in Ivy League duals against Brown and Yale and a
fourth place finish against Dartmouth/Harvard.
• Placed fourth in the 100-backstroke in the Big Red’s team victory over Binghamton.

• SwimMAC National Team member in 2019.
• Named a Scholastic All-American and National Merit Scholar during her high school tenure.
• Four-year letterman on the varsity swim team at Ardrey Kell HS.
• Elected team captain during her senior year.
• Competed on the club circuit for SwimMAC Carolina.

• Alexandra Dayle Handlin is the daughter of Dale and Danita Handlin.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
