Biography
As a junior (2020-21)
• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Earned a spot on the Big Red's scoring team for the season's first two events.
• Carded best collegiate round of even-par 72 in the opening loop of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational, hosted by Colgate, helped the team to a wire-to-wire victory.
• Also competed on Cornell's 'A' team at the Cornell Invitational.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Made collegiate debut competing individually at Cornell Invitational, shooting 76-78-78–232 to finish 73rd.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed for five seasons with Durham Academy, helping the squad to top-four finishes in the state championship in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
• Served as captain during senior season, shooting a personal-best 67 in a high school match.
• Helped Durham Academy to third-place finish at 2018 Palmetto HS Golf Championship.
• Won several individual tournaments as part of North Carolina junior golf tours.
Personal
• August Oliver Lascola is the son of Christopher and Laura Lascola, and he has one brother.
• Grandfather, Robert Hoffman, is a Cornell graduate who earned three letters competing with the lacrosse team.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
