2021-22 Men's Rowing - Heavyweight Roster
Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Rowed on the men’s championship four boat at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping Cornell to a top-10 finish, as the Big Red placed 10th in 16:23.94.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Competed in six regattas as a freshman, alternating between the third and fourth Varsity eight squads.
• Was a member of the third varsity eight against Navy/Syracuse and Yale/Princeton.
• Rowed on the fourth varsity eight at the 2019 EARC Sprints where the team finished third in the Petite Final and ninth overall.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed with Halifax Rowing Association.
• Two-time team captain.
• Gold medal in the boys JV 4+ at the 2017 FSRA State Sweep Championships.
• Named the Halifax Most Valuable Rower in 2015.
Personal
• Bret Robert Bay is the son of Scott and Samara Bay and he has one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
