Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Helped the Cornell C 4+ boat to a ninth place finish in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the boat completed the race in 12:48.49.
• Guided the Cornell B 8+ boat to a top-10 finish in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the squad placed 10th out of 22 boats with a time of 11:48.43.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Rowed in five regattas as a sophomore, spending time on the second and third varsity eight boats.
• Competed on the third varsity eight at the 2019 EARC Sprints and 2019 IRA National Championships.
• Helped the third varsity eight to a fifth place finish in the Petite Final at the EARC Sprints, placing 11th overall.
• Guided the third varsity eight to victory in the Third Level Final at the IRA National Championships, finishing 13th overall.
• Rowed the second varsity eight to wins over Oregon State and Marist at the Las Vegas Invitational.
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Rowed in both the varsity eight and the second varsity eight during the 2017-18 season.
• Helped the second varsity eight to a sixth place finish in the Petite Final at the 2018 IRA National Championships, placing 12th overall.
• Led the second varsity eight to a third-place finish in the Petite Final at the 2018 EARC Sprints to take ninth place finish overall.
• Rowed in the varsity eight that defeated Syracuse and Navy to win the Goes Cup.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned three varsity letters in rowing at LaSalle College High School.
• Voted the team’s Best Oarsman in 2017.
• Won a silver medal with the men’s under-19 four at the 2016 Canadian Henley.
• Lettered three times in swimming and once in water polo at LaSalle College High School.
• Earned All-American honors in 2016 in the 200-yard free relay.
• Named all-state in water polo in 2013.
Personal
• Evan Thompson Wilt is the son of Jonathan and Joan Wilt and he has one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
