Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Competed on the Cornell D 8+ boat in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, helping the group record a time of 12:32.28.
• Guided the Cornell F 4+ boat to a top-five finish in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the team placed fifth with a time of 14:07.80.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
Prior to Cornell
• Has rowed for the Green Lake Crew for the past four years.
• Served as team captain for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
• Raced in the Thames Challenge Cup of the Henley Royal Regatta in 2017 and 2019.
• Competed in the Head of Charles Regatta in 2016, helping his boat to a 13th place finish.
Personal
• Christopher William Lawson is the son of Doug and Rebecca Lawson and has one older sister.
• His father, Doug, is a 1984 Cornell graduate.
• He is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
