Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Competed on the Cornell D 8+ boat in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, helping the group record a time of 12:32.28.
• Guided the Cornell C 8+ boat to an 11th place finish among 22 boats in Flight 2 of the Cornell Autumn Classic with a time of 11:54.95.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed on the club rowing scene for TBC Racing, where he was a three-time USRowing Club National qualifier.
• 2017 U17 USRowing Club National Champion in the men’s 4+ division, also earning a runner-up finish in the men’s 8+.
• Helped his men’s 4- boat to a second place finish in the U19 division at the 2019 USRowing Club Nationals.
• Also a four year member of the rowing team at Walt Whitman HS, where he was elected team captain in 2019.
• Earned All-MET Honorable Mention distinction in 2019.
• Four-time Scholar Award recipient.
Personal
• Ethan Joshua Waxman is the son of Eliot Waxman and Jenni Main and has one younger brother.
• His mother, Jenni Main, is a Cornell alumna and was a member of the women’s swimming team.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
