Biography
• Zone Qualifier, Introductory (2019-20)
• Regional Qualifier, Introductory (2019-20)
• Ivy League Champion, Introductory (2018-19)
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• One of the Big Red’s top riders in the introductory division, competing in six shows during the season and finishing among the top-three each time.
• Qualified for the Zone 2 Championships in introductory equitation after being named the Reserve Champion at the IHSA Regional Championships.
• Secured victories in the introductory division at a pair of shows at Nazareth and at Alfred Show #2.
• One of six Cornell riders to compete at the prestigious Tournament of Champions, finishing third in introductory equitation for the Big Red’s highest finish of the day.
• Season cut short due to COVID-19.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• In her first season with the Big Red, competed at the Ivy League Championships in the introductory division.
• Won her round at the Ivy League Championships, proceeding to the championship round and claiming the Ivy League title for the introductory division.
Prior to Cornell
• Worked and rode at Sunnybrook Stables for three years throughout high school.
• Swam on the club circuit for Northern TRIBS Swimming during her high school campaign, serving as team captain as a senior in 2017-18.
Personal
• Hannah Elizabeth Braun is the daughter of Peter and Michelle Braun and has six siblings, four brothers and two sisters.
• Both of her parents, Peter ’95 and Michelle ’97, are Cornell alumni.
• Her mother, Michelle, would go on to attend Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine as well.
• Her older brother, Jesse, is a member of Columbia’s men’s swimming and diving team.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
