2022-23 l SENIOR SEASON


2021-22 l JUNIOR SEASON
Competed in all eight meets as well as the Ivy League Championship, where he took home a combined 42 points ... won the 200-Yard Breaststroke against St. Bonaventure with a time of 2:08.31 ... was Cornell’s highest finisher when he placed fourth in the 200-Yard Breaststroke against Princeton and UPenn with a time of 2:07.00, his best time as of that meet .. helped the Big Red finish fourth and take home 52 points at the Zippy Invitational in the 200-Yard Medley Relay, finishing with a team time of 1:28.94 ... that relay team then took home a second place finish against Yale in the same event a few weeks later ... against Yale, he secured a fourth-place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke and a second-place finish in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 58.04 and 2:06.1 respectively ... he helped lead Cornell to victory over Brown in the 200 Medley Relay with a team time of 1:30.3. In that same meet, Bass also won the 100-Yard Breaststroke outright with a time of 56.43 ... Bass placed second against Columbia in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with an impressive time of 2:03.88. He also placed third in the 200-Yard IM, with his best time in the event up to that date, finishing with a 1:54.65 ... finished second in the 100-Yard Backstroke against Binghamton with a time of 50.78 ... at the Ivy League Championship, he took home 22 points for the Big Red when he finished eighth in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:58.2. At that same meet, he went on to score points in the 100-Yard Breaststroke and 200 Yard IM, scoring 15 points and 5 points respectively.

2020-21 l SOPHOMORE SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 l FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in all nine meets for the Big Red during freshman campaign, including the Ivy League Championships ... raced in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke, and 200-IM at Ivies, scoring points in all three events ... qualified for the B Final of the 200-breastroke (1:59.33) and 100-breastroke (55.35), placing 12th and 14th, respectively, in the pair of events ... his preliminary 200-breaststroke time at Ivies (1:58.72) sits fifth all time in Big Red history, while his preliminary 100-breastroke time (55.08) is the ninth-fastest on Cornell’s top-10 list ... made the cut for the C Final of the 200-IM at the Ivy League Championships, placing 22nd in 1:50.36 ... cracked Cornell’s all-time top-10 list in the 400-IM at the Zippy Invitational, as his preliminary time of 3:58.19 ranks 10th in the Big Red record books ... finished third in his IM events in dual meets against St. Bonaventure and Binghamton ... secured a third-place finish in the 200-breaststroke in Cornell’s Ivy League matchup against Yale.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Four year member of the swim team at Kingwood HS where is was named a co-captain in 2018-19 ... school record holder in the 100 breaststroke and 200 medley relay ... 2019 6A State Bronze Medalist in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM ... two-time State Silver Medalist in the 200 medley relay (2018 and 2019) ... four-time selection to the All-State Team ... competed on the club scene for Blue Tide Aquatics where he was a National team member, Junior National Qualifier, and US Open Qualifier.

PERSONAL
Jacob Christopher Bass is the son of Christopher and Amanda Bass and has one younger brother ... he is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
