Biography
At Cornell:
Ezike had an excellent and healthy 2007 season, closing in on the current outdoor school 110 meter hurdle record. He won his second indoor 60 meter hurdle title at the Heps in 8.07. As well claiming membership on the All-Ivy team Ezike also was a member of the All-East team by finishing sixth at the IC4A’s running7.44 for 55 meter hurdles. Outdoors he was an NCAA Eastern Regional qualifier. His third place finish at the Heps in the 110 meter hurdles scored valuable points for his team’s Ivy League title. He had one of his best races at the outdoor IC4A’s running 14.22 for fourth place. Saidu finished his season at the NCAA Regional meet finishing 15th at 14.38 and currently holds five school records for the Red. At Port Richmond: Exike won the New York state title in the 55- and 110-meter hurdles while running for the Port Richmond HS team. He was also named to All-America teams as a 110-meter hurdler by adidas and USA Today. Personal: Saidu Hubert Ezike is the son of Robert and Judith Ezike, and he has an older brother and a younger brother.
