Johannes Stromhaug's up-to-date results
As a Sophomore (2019-20)
• Competed in eight meets in the pole vault.
• Recorded only top-three finishes, including a first-place finish at the Upstate Challenge (1/25) and the Kane Invitational (2/1).
• Finished third at the Ivy League Indoor Heps Championships (2/29-3/1).
• Notched the eighth-best height in indoor pole vault in program history at the Upstate Challenge (1/25).
As a Freshman (2018-19)
• Competed all throughout his freshman season.
• Only recorded top-five placements, including two first-place finishes.
• Earned a 5.05m personal record at the Ivy League Indoor Heps Championships (2/23-24) for fifth place.
Before Cornell
• Was a four-year member of the track and field team at Vestal High School..
• He placed at the New York State meet several times, and qualified for New Balance Nationals four times.
• He holds a personal best of 15’8 for pole vault.
Personal
• His parents are Per and Astrid Stromhaug, and he has two siblings: his brother Per Andre Stromhaug attended • Cornell and graduated in 2017, and his sister Kari Stromhaug is a pole vaulter at MIT.
• His family is originally from Norway.
