Biography

At Cornell
Kuritzky earned a spot on the NSCAA All-Northeast Region Second Team, becoming the first Big Red player in four seasons to earn such an honor. He finished his senior season with eight goals and two assists for 18 points, second highest total on the team. Kuritzky also added game-winning goals against Colgate on Sept. 19 and in overtime against Columbia on Nov. 10. He was also named First-Team All-Ivy League and earned a spot on the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team. He scored the Big Red's first hat-trick since 2000 in the 4-1 win over IUPUI on Sept. 2, helping the BIg Red to the tournament title at the University of Kentucky Nike Soccer Classic, Cornell's first in-season tournament crown since 1983. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the UK Nike Soccer Classic for his efforts, including three goals and an assist, in the tournament. Kuritzky proved to be one of the most durable and reliable players in the Cornell lineup, playing in all 15 games and starting 14 times as a junior. He was also one of the Big Red’s most dangerous offensive threats, tying for the team high with four points on a goal and two assists. He scored his first career goal for the Big Red on Oct. 28 against Princeton on a penalty kick, while assisting on the game-winning goals against both New Hampshire and Dartmouth. In his first season in 2005, he was in the starting lineup for two of the 11 games in which he appeared.

At Hendrick Hudson and Skidmore
Kuritzky transferred to Cornell from Skidmore prior to his sophomore campaign. At Skimore heappeared in 18 games, with 14 starts as a freshman. He scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. At Hendrick Hudson HS, Kuritzky was named to the first-team all-state and all-region teams. He was the team leader in goals and assists and was named league MVP. He was a six-time ODP member and was won the state cup four times.

Personal
Brian Scott Kuritzky is the son of Jay and the late Janice Kuritzky. His older brother, Alex, played goalkeeper for the University of Albany. He also has a younger sister. He is a student in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
