Biography

At Cornell
Vieira appeared in all 17 games for the Big Red as a junior, making the start in each contest. He scored his first career goal in the Oct. 23 overtime loss at Penn State, tying the game to send it to the extra session. He also picked up an assist in the Oct. 6 loss to Harvard, his first career point. Vieira was a key component of the back line for the Big Red in 2006 that allowed just 16 goals in 15 games. He appeared in 14 of the team’s 15 contests, making eight starts, and worked his way up front to take 11 shots on the season. He was in the starting lineup for the win against Yale and also started two of the four shutouts recorded by the Cornell defense.

At The Pingry School
Vieira was an all-state, all-county and all-conference selection at the Pingry School and also served as team captain. He appeared in a national final and won four state cups with his club team.

Personal
Kevin G. Vieira is the son of Fred and Lucy Vieira and has a younger brother. He is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell.
