Biography
At Cornell:
Casey had a break-out year in 2007 and will serve as a co-captain for the Big Red in the upcoming season. She competed in five different events during the indoor season, reaching personal bests in the hurdles (8.83, fifth all-time) and long jump (18-10 ¾, eighth all-time). Casey was runner-up at the Heps indoors in two events, finishing second in the 60 meter hurdles and long jump. She qualified for the ECACs in the hurdle event and was twice named to the All-Ivy team. Outdoors, she continued her brilliant efforts and reached a personal best 14.40 at 100 meter hurdles, finishing 4th at the Heptagonal championships and again qualifying for the ECACs. At Crescent Valley: Casey won the 2004 Oregon state title in the long jump and 100-meter hurdles. Personal: Joan Alison Casey is the daughter of Jack and Jane Casey.
