Biography

At Cornell
Malzberg started 13 games for the Big Red as a sophomore, missing three games early in the season due to injury. The truncated season led to a slip in offensive production, but she has the ability to score a lot of goals for Cornell, and with a healthy spring behind her, she looks to return to her freshman form. She finished her shortened sophomore year with three goals, scoring the game-winner vs. Lehigh. Malzberg saw action in all 17 games as a freshman, making 16 starts. She ranked second on the team in goals (7) and points (16), and scored some key goals for the Big Red throughout the season.

At Hunderton Central Regional HS
A third-team all-state pick in 2004, Malzberg earned Player of the Year honors by the Courier News. She earned team MVP honors as a senior after leading her team to its third straight appearance in the state championship game. Malzberg was named to the all-county, all-area, all-conference and All-West Jersey teams three times and was a two-time first-team North Jersey honoree. Competing for the New Heights club team, Malzberg played in three-straight National Festivals.

Personal
Mandy Leigh Malzberg is the daughter of Mark and Sharon Malzberg, and she has a younger brother and sister. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
