Biography

At Cornell
Goldblatt, the incumbent starter, will look to be the starting goalie for her final season. A traditional and technically sound goalie, Goldblatt plays her angles well and is solid in net. As a junior, Goldblatt started 10 games, posting a 6-4 record with one shutout on the season. She registered a .688 save percentage and a 2.15 goals against average. In her first season as a starter, Goldblatt got the call in 14 games during her sophomore season, making 68 saves while allowing 22 goals for a 1.57 GAA and a .755 save percentage. She was selected to the 2005 NFHCA National Academic Squad

Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS
Goldblatt was a three-year letter winner in field hockey where she earned all-county honors while helping Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS to the state championship in 2001 and 2002. She was named captain in 2003 and led the team to a spot in the state finals. Goldblatt also participated in the National Futures Tournament and was the captain of her Pegasus club squad.

Elizabeth Grant Goldblatt is the daughter of Steven Goldblatt and Irene Burns, and she has an older sister, Sarah. She is a student in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
