Welcome to Cornell University’s Athletics Compliance web site. The Athletics Compliance Office is committed to assisting the University and its Department of Athletics in meeting the standards of "institutional control" and other principles for the conduct of intercollegiate athletics as mandated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).  As a Division I athletics program that is a member of the Ivy League, Cornell University is obligated to uphold the rules and regulations that have been established to govern intercollegiate athletics participation in its 37 varsity sports. The Athletics Compliance Office primarily handles matters pertaining to NCAA and Ivy League rules. Violations of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations are reported according to the institution's Violation Reporting Procedure and Protocol. As outlined in the procedure and protocol, you can also anonymously report a possible violation of NCAA or Ivy League rules to the Cornell University Compliance and Ethics Hotline or by calling 1-866-293-3077.

For compliance concerns unrelated to NCAA and Ivy League rules, the Athletics Compliance Office recommends following the procedures outlined on the University Compliance Office website.

The Cornell University Athletics Compliance Office works to help educate its student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff and representatives of athletics interest about the basic requirements and guidelines that must be followed in order to make the Big Red compliant. This web site has been designed to provide a quick reference to important compliance-related topics. With this in mind, it is not intended to be comprehensive; questions should be directed to a member of the compliance staff.
