Keith Hannon joined Cornell athletics in January 2019. He works closely with coaches, alumni, parents and friends to advance the Big Red programs that provide the best leadership training on campus, while also teaching the discipline, time management and collaboration skills needed to succeed beyond East Hill.

Hannon started at Cornell in 2011 when he joined the central alumni affairs and development digital innovation team. Here he created and managed various Cornell alumni digital/online communities, while also producing video content and live stream broadcasts for several alumni organizations. In this role, Hannon served on the teams that launched Cornell Crowdfunding and Cornell Giving Day. The first two Cornell giving days featured a 24-hour live stream broadcast that Hannon hosted in which he interviewed dozens of Cornellians, both in-person and across the globe, by way of video conference. Several Cornell athletes, including Ed Marinaro and Kyle Dake, were featured on these broadcasts.

Before Cornell, Hannon was living and working in Los Angeles. Here he worked at places such as “The Best Damn Sports Show Period,” Nickelodeon and a sports video game company (Six Degrees Games) where he served as the liaison to the NBA, MLB, NHL and the NFL Players Association.

When he’s not on the road visiting our inspiring Big Red benefactors, Hannon is tending to his family and serving his community. He is currently a Trustee for the Village of Trumansburg and a board member for both the Tompkins County Public Library and local Chamber of Commerce. He has three children: Clinton, Keegan, and Kennedy and he frequently serves as their youth sports coach. His wife Casey is a Vice President at GiveGab, where she supports the fundraising efforts of hundreds of non-profits around the country.

Hannon was born and raised in Johnson City, N.Y., where he played varsity baseball, basketball and golf. In 2019, his membership on the school’s lone state championship baseball team supported his election into the Johnson City Sports Hall of Fame.
