Biography

An outstanding two-sport athlete, he was a tackle on the excellent football teams of 1929, 1930 and [apos]31. He helped Cornell compile a three-year overall record of 19-5, with the [apos]31 team going 7-1. As captain in 1931, he received Associated Press All-America honorable mention honors that year. A saber and epee specialist in fencing, he captained the swordsmen in 1931. He and his brother Jose [apos]32 were selected to fence for Mexico at the 1932 Olympic Games. He participated in track as a freshman. He was residing in his native Mexico at the time of his death in 1982.
