Biography
Prior to Cornell
Kowalchik was the 2009 Interscholastic Equestrian Association Individual national champion in the Open Over Fences division and also claimed the Zone 5 division championship. She was the individual reserve champion in Open Flat.
Personal
Emily Nicole Kowalchik is the daughter of John and Eleanor Kowalchik, both Cornell alumni. She has a younger sister and an older sister, the latter serving as a four-year member of the equestrian team at Southern Methodist University. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
