Biography
At Cornell
As a sophomore, Winans appeared in five shows for Cornell. Her first place finish in the Novice Flat class at Morrisville on Nov. 16 helped the Big Red pick up enough points to take home its first victory of the season. Another win at Hartwick on Mar. 7, qualified Winans for the Regional Championships where she finished seventh. At the Ivy League championships, Winans competed in the Intermediate Flat class for the first time taking first in her section and advancing to the championship round where she was named Ivy reserve individual champion.
Personal
Mary Cleanor Winans is the daughter of Steve Winans and Laurie Johnston. She has three younger brothers, her brother Tom is a freshman at Cornell.
