Prior to Cornell
Ruden was a member of the National Honor Society at Manalapan High School in New Jersey. She also played field hockey for four years, serving as captain for the varisty team her senior season.

Personal
Rachel Morgan Ruden is the daughter of Michael and Charlotte Ruden. Her has an older brother, and her father competed in fencing at Rutgers. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
