Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Did not compete.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed on the club gymnastics circuit for 10 years, serving as her team’s captain in her final two years on the team.
• Placed second in the state in vault and fifth in the all-around in the Level 7 division.
• Awarded the 110% Effort Award in 2014.
• Two year member of the lacrosse team and one year member of the track and field team at Ladue Horton Watkins HS.
Personal
• Sarah Marie Ashkar is the daughter of Joe Ashkar and Lisa Langlois and has a younger sister and a younger brother.
• Her stepmother, Julie Steinberg, attended Weill Cornell Medical College.
• She is enrolled in the College of Hotel Administration.
