As a junior (2017-18)

• Saw action in two invitational events.
• Competed in the Brandeis Invitational and the Philadelphia Invitational.
 

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Added valuable depth to the foil squad during her sophomore season.
• Finished the year with a record of 11-14 overall.
Posted a combined record of 10-4 in back-to-back weekends at the Philadelphia and Cornell Invitationals.

As a freshman (2015-16)
• Was the only freshman to compete for the foil squad during the 2015-16 season.
• Posted a 7-5 record overall (0-2 Ivy).
• Went 4-1 at the Vassar Invitational.
• Placed 55th overall in the foil competition at the Temple Open.
• Finished 152nd in the Division I Women's Foil competition at the January NAC.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Fenced for six years at Ward Melville High School.
• Served as team captain as a junior and senior.
• Was twice named to the All-Long Island fencing team, and twice named all-county.
• Was a 12-time Suffolk County team champion and a 10-time Long Island team champion.
• Won the individual gold medal at the 2013 Suffolk County championship and took bronze at the 2014 Suffolk County championship.
• Fenced for Mission Fencing Center.
• Took eighth place at the 2013 National Championship DIV II, and sixth place at the 2013 National Championship DIV III.
 

Personal

• Angela Jiaqi Zhang is the daughter of Dan Zhang and Huiping Li and she has one older brother and one older sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
