Biography

As a Junior (2020-21)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a Sophomore (2019-20)

• Finished second on the team in winning percentage for epee (.639) with a 39-22 record.
• Went 6-0 at the Brandeis Invitational, 9-4 at Philadelphia Invitational and 17-5 at the Northwestern Duals.


As a Freshman (2018-19)

• Posted the second most wins for the epee squad (18) as a freshman.
• Was a perfect 3-0 vs. UNC twice during the season, as well as posting a 2-0 mark vs. University of Incarnate Word.
• Had a winning record (2-1) vs. MIT.
• Beat her seed to finish 11th in the epee competition at the 2019 NCAA Northeast Regional tournament.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Fenced for six years with Cody Mattern at Northwest Fencing Center (Beaverton, Ore.)
• Bronze medalist, 2018, Junior Team Junior Olympic National Championships (Memphis, Tenn.)
• Round of 16, 2017, Junior North American Cup (Kansas City, Mo.)
• Placed 19th, 2017, Cadet Junior Olympic National Championships (Kansas City, Mo.)
• Placed 24th, 2017, Division 1A July Challenge National Championships (Salt Lake City, Utah)
• Placed fourth, 2016, Junior Team Junior Olympic Championships (Cleveland, Ohio)
 

Personal

• Caroline Sunju Lee is the daughter of Dr. Chang Lee and Dr. Yun Kyung-Lee and she has one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
