Biography

At Cornell: Waichman record the most wins on the sabre squad with a record of 33-20 (.622) during her rookie season. She ranked second among sabres in Ivy League competition, finishing with a 5-13 record. Waichman helped the Big Red’s sabres to a sixth place finish at the IFA championships after going 6-5 on the day to place sixth in the B division. 

Prior to Cornell: Waichman was a member of the Riverdale Country School fencing team and served as captain during the 2006-07 season. She took second place in Division III and fifth place in Division II at the North American Cup.
 
Personal: Gwendolyn Eve Waichman is the daughter of Ellen Waichman and her older sister Erica '08 was also a member of the Big Red fencing team. She is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
