Prior to Cornell
As a member of the Mission Fencing Center, Conway took third-place at the 2008 Division II NAC A tournament. That same year, she also took third-place at the Division III Summer Nationals. Conway was also the valedictorian of her class at Shoreham-Wading River high school, where she lettered twice in cross country and once each in winter and spring track. She earned all-county honors in cross country and was named all-league in both winter and spring track.

Personal
Kristi Leigh Conway is the daughter of Linda and Jimmi Conway and she has one older and one younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
