Biography

At Cornell
Junior (2013-14): Weller ranked third on the epee squad with a record of 13-17.  She went a perfect 3-0 vs. Lafayette and posted a winning record of 2-1 vs. UNC, Northwestern, Brown and Yale. 

Sophomore (2012-13): Weller earned the team’s Graham Jennings Award, given to a fencer that isn't in an official leadership role, but who steps up and serves as a leader on the team. She led a young epee squad with a 41-30 record overall and was the only member of the epee team to post a winning record at the Ivy League tournament, going 10-8. Weller was a perfect 3-0 against Vassar, Tufts, Wellesley and Yale, while going 2-0 against Yeshiva. She also posted a winning record against Fairleigh Dickinson, Sacred Heart, Brandeis, North Carolina, St. John’s, Drew, North Carolina, Johns Hopkins, Columbia and Penn. Weller finished 24th overall at the 2013 NCAA Northeast Regional.

Freshmen (2011-12): Weller was named the team’s Outstanding Freshman following a rookie season in which she ranked third on the epee squad with a record of 28-28. She also led the Big Red epees' at the NCAA Regional tournament with a 20th place finish.

Prior to Cornell
Weller was a six-time letter winner at Huntington HS where she accomplished many feats such as winning the Suffolk County epee championship in 2009 and 2010, as well as earning the 2011 Town of Huntington Scholar-Athlete Award and winning the gold medal at the 2010 Empire State Games. She was also named to the All-Long Island fencing team in 2010 and 2011, the All-Suffolk County team from 2007-2009, and to the Long Island Exceptional Seniors all-star team in 2011. For six years she was coached by Dennis Daly and Alan Kuver. Weller captained the team her senior year and holds the Huntington record with 131 career wins. She also placed tenth in Division II Women's Epee at the 2010 Summer National Championships. Weller also lettered twice in both field hockey and lacrosse.

Personal
Olivia Sarah Weller is the daughter of Benjamin Weller and Kay Blough and she has an older sister. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
