At Cornell
Freshman (2011): Skalski had an outstanding rookie campaign, moving into a starting role in the Big Red's fourth game of the season and never looking back as she finished the year with 14 starts and 17 games played. She was a solid defender for Cornell and following the season, she was awarded the team’s Class of '91 Cup, which is chosen by the senior class and given annually to the player with the most promising future. Skalski was also named to the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

At Hempfield HS
Skalski earned three varsity letters at Hempfield HS. As a senior captain, she was named Lancaster/Lebanon all-league second team and honorable mention Pennsylvania all-state. She also played for Sutter’s Brigade and High Styx field hockey club and won a gold medal at the USFH National Festival in 2007.

Personal
Alaina Bissette Skalski is the daughter of Dave and Tina Skalski and she has two older brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
