At Cornell
Thompson was a four-time All-Ivy selection, earning honorable mention three times (2007, 2008, 2010) and second team once (2009). She was a player that made an impact on the Big Red program from the day she stepped on campus. Starting nearly every game of her career, she was a multi-faceted weapon that played a critical role in the organization of the team’s press and regularly matched up and shut down the center midfield of the opposition. A co-captain of the 2010 team, Thompson also provided an offensive punch, finishing the year with four goals and three assists, including two goals and two assists in Ivy League action. She ended her career ranked in Cornell’s top-20 in career assists (9th – 13), career points (11th – 37), and career goals (16th – 12). An excellent student as well, Thompson was a two-time Academic All-Ivy selection and was a two time SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad selection.

At Point Grey Secondary School
Thompson was a five-year letter winner at Point Grey Secondary School. A midfielder, she led her team to a third-place finish at the Provincial Championships tournament in both 2005 and 2006. She was selected to the U19 Provincial team in 2007, where she participated in the Can/Am Challenge and the Western Canada Summer Games. In 2006, as a member of the BC U18 Provincial team, Thompson led the team to victory over the US U19 team. She was a two-time captain of the regional British Columbia High Performance U18 NW team and captain of the U16 NW team for one year. Thompson was a member of the Point Grey soccer team, helping the squad to a Provincial Championship in 2005 and a second-place finish in 2006.
