At Cornell
Junior (2009):
Prodanovic solidified her starting role as a junior, starting all 15 contests for the Big Red. She was an integral part of a defensive unit that allowed just 5.3 penalty corners per game, the best school average since the stat began to be recorded in 1998. Prodanovic also registered two goals, including the game winner against Colgate, and picked up four assists for eight points on the season. Following the season, she was awarded the team’s Unsung Hero Award and was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

Sophomore (2008): Prodanovic moved into a starting role during her sophomore season, seeing action in all 16 games and making 14 starts. She finished the year with four points after scoring against Lock Haven and handing out crucial assists in victories vs. Colgate and Brown. Prodanovic also registered a critical defensive save vs. the Raiders.

Freshman (2007): A player that showed steady improvement throughout her rookie campaign, Prodanovic received the team’s Most Improved Player award following the 2007 season. As a freshman, she played in 10 games, making two starts. She was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Oct. 23 for her role in the Big Red’s 2-1 victory over Brown when she registered her first collegiate point by assisting on the game-winning goal with 46 seconds remaining in regulation. Following the season, she was named to the NFHCA National Academic squad.

At Oak Park and River Forest HS
The 2006 Illinois High School Field Hockey Player of the Year, Prodanovic was a four-year letter winner at Oak Park and River Forest HS. That same season, she served as team captain, was the squad’s leading scorer, was named team MVP and selected as the Offensive Player of the Year. Prodanovic led the Huskies to the state championship three times, including a second-place finish in 2004. She was a member of the US Futures National Tournament U19 team in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and was an alternate for the 2005 Junior Olympics team. Prodanovic also lettered three times in softball, leading the team to victory in the 2005 IHSA 6AA Softball Championships.

Personal
Mattie Prodanovic is the daughter of Andy and Laurie Prodanovic. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
