At Cornell 
Junior (2012): Berry saw action in just one game during her junior season, playing in the Big Red’s 4-0 victory over Holy Cross.

Sophomore (2011): Barry saw a significant jump in playing time her sophomore year, playing in eight games and getting the start against St. Francis (Pa.) and Columbia.

Freshman (2010): Berry saw action in just one game during her freshman season, playing in a 4-1 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.). Following the season, she was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

At Saint Francis High School
Berry lettered twice at Saint Francis high school, serving as team captain as a senior. She earned her team’s Coaches’ Award in 2009, a season in which she was named second-team all-league and second-team All-Central Coast Section. Berry was a two-time scholar award recipient. She also lettered twice in track and field. As a member of the San Jose Fly field hockey club, Berry was a USA Futures program participant and was selected as an alternate for the 2008 California team for the National Futures tournament.

Personal
Shannon Kay Berry is the daughter of Robert and Janet Berry and she has one older brother. Her cousin Nathaniel Vail plays water polo at UC Berkeley, while her cousin Clifford Frohlich attended graduate school at Cornell. Berry is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
