Aaron Klein ’12 MBA ’14 was named Cornell’s Director of Football Operations in July 2014. Klein has been a part of the Big Red program in a number of capacities for the last seven seasons.
In his role with the Big Red, Klein provides for the day-to-day administrative operations of the football program, including providing support to student-athletes with university matters, budget management, coordinating recruiting needs, organizing community projects and relations and handling team travel. Klein also coordinates all recruiting weekends.
Klein spent four seasons as an undergraduate student manager for the Big Red. He then continued in that capacity for two years as a graduate student, taking on a greater role in team administration and operations. Last year, Klein served as the assistant for the defensive coaching staff helping with field set-up and charting plays during games. He also helped coordinate the logistics for gamedays and the official visits of recruits. Klein oversaw student managers and coordinated the team’s three 2012 summer camps – helping the Big Red to its largest camp numbers in history at that time.
Klein spent summers interning for the Buffalo Bills training camp as the will call coordinator in 2012 and for the Buffalo Bisons minor league baseball team in 2011 as a sales intern.
Klein was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity and the Industrial and Labor Relations Sports Management Club. He graduated in 2012 with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations and earned his master’s in Business Administration from Cornell in 2014.
